Primary Skill Sets:
- Proficiency in Oracle Database administration, including installation, configuration, and maintenance of Oracle Database versions 11g, 12c, and 19c.
- Strong understanding of Oracle Database architecture, performance tuning, and optimization techniques.
- Experience in database backup and recovery strategies, including Oracle RMAN, Data Pump, and flashback technologies.
- Knowledge of Oracle Database security best practices and implementation of security controls, such as encryption, access controls, and auditing.
- Expertise in Oracle Database installation, patching, upgrades, and migration activities.
- Hands-on experience with Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) for database monitoring, management, and automation.
- Ability to troubleshoot database issues, diagnose performance problems, and implement corrective actions.
- Experience in designing and implementing high availability and disaster recovery solutions, including Oracle Data Guard and Oracle RAC.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Secondary Skill Sets:
- Familiarity with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and Oracle Autonomous Database services.
- Experience with Oracle Exadata Database Machine administration and management.
- Knowledge of database virtualization technologies, such as Oracle VM and Oracle Container Database (CDB).
- Understanding of database consolidation and multi-tenancy concepts using Oracle Multitenant architecture.
- Experience with database automation tools and scripting languages, such as Python, Perl, or Shell scripting.
- Familiarity with database performance monitoring and diagnostic tools, such as Oracle Enterprise Manager Diagnostics Pack.
- Exposure to other database technologies, such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or SQL Server, is a plus.
- Understanding of database cloud migration strategies and methodologies.
- Certification in Oracle Database administration, such as Oracle Certified Professional (OCP), is desirable.
